Group Coaching
Creative Resilience
Have you ever wondered why you keep saying yes to things when you know it’s too much? Or why no matter how many courses and qualifications you do it never feels like enough? Or why one minute you can’t wait to start working on a new idea and the next you’re procrastinating?
These behaviours are your inner saboteurs at play and they lead to negative feelings such as stress, guilt, frustration and anxiety.
As creatives, we are masters of self-sabotage! Skipping from one idea to the next so never completing one thing, putting off putting ourselves out there because we’re worried about what other’s think, overcommitting and burning out, avoiding the difficult conversations, beating ourselves up when things aren’t perfect.
And one of the toughest parts of living a creative life is keeping going when things aren’t going to plan. We’re so passionate about our work it’s hard not to take setbacks personally and this can throw us off our path.

gROUP PROGRAMME | Three months
My three-month Creative Resilience programme is an opportunity to work with me via an app-based mental fitness programme designed by Shirzad Charmaine, a leading expert in the field of Positive Intelligence.
The app gives you access to weekly videos that help you explore the unique ways in which you self-sabotage along with strategies to overcome them.
I’ll be your facilitator, guiding you through the course with weekly group calls and a host of workshops to unpack your learning and insights and help you apply them to all aspects of your work and life. We go deep and the power is putting your new insights into practice with a brilliant group of people supporting you along the way.
What is mental fitness?
Mental fitness is the measure of strength of your positive mental muscles (Sage) versus your negative mental muscles (Saboteurs).
Saboteurs react to challenges in ways that generate negative emotions such as stress, disappointment, self-doubt, regret, anger, shame, guilt, or worry.
Your Sage handles challenges through positive emotions like empathy, gratitude, curiosity, creativity, self-confidence, and calm, clear-headed, laser-focused action.
Extensive research in positive psychology, cognitive psychology & neuroscience shows:
Saboteurs and Sage live in entirely different regions of the brain.
AND
You can cause a dramatic shift in brain activation to weaken Saboteurs and boost Sage through six weeks of daily practice.
During the programme you’ll learn:
The neuroscience behind habit formation so you can create habits that stick
The unique ways you self-sabotage and how to minimise their impact so you feel less stressed and get more of what you want
How to boost your self-command muscle – this is the key to laser focus and getting stuff done
How to reconnect with your true nature and bring more of that person into your present day life
How to shift from negative emotions (your saboteurs) to positive emotions (your sage) by activating a different part of your brain so that you feel happier more of the time
Tonnes of tools and techniques to make long-lasting and impactful changes in the way you respond to challenging situations
-Enhanced creativity-
-Improved personal and professional relationships-
-Increased happiness-
-Better sleep-
-Live longer!! (Got to be worth a shot, right?)-
What’s the deal? How much of my time does this take up?
The programme is in two halves. The first six weeks is intensive work via an app to guide you and group calls (maximum six people in a group):
Seven weekly one-hour videos sessions exploring your saboteurs and exercises to help you shift into a positive mindset – access via the app
Seven weekly 60-minute group calls with me to reflect on your learning and connect with other creatives
15 minutes a day to practise building your mental fitness muscles via guided challenges in the app
The second six weeks involves ongoing daily practice in the app and group workshops, plus a 1:1 coaching session:
Three 90-minute group workshops. You get to co-design these workshops with me so they are truly useful to you. Some ideas are: a focus on relationships, a particular work or life challenge, building habits, procrastination and distraction, grief and trauma, embodiment, your own creative toolbox.
One 90-minute 1:1 coaching session with me on any area you like
15 minutes a day to practise building your mental fitness muscles via guided challenges in the app
