Wellbeing support

Wellbeing workshops

In school or the community

It’s never too early to pay attention to mental health and wellbeing. Post-pandemic we need wellbeing support in our schools more now than ever. We all know this.

But it’s not that simple when you factor in a stretched timetable, syllabus and exam targets, reduced budgets and many other obstacles that get in the way of those wanting to prioritise wellbeing. If you work with young people in schools or the community, I know you’ll wish you could do more, if only you had the resources.

I too have felt overwhelmed and disempowered by systems that give us all the responsibility but no autonomy. And I so I learned to focus on small and remember that the biggest changes often come from the smallest actions:

A tiny seed that grows over time into a giant sunflower

A pebble thrown into water that sends ripples far beyond the horizon.

A honey bee scattering pollen onto nearby plants.

I run tailored wellbeing workshops in schools across a range of themes and with different year groups with the aim of planting a seed and offering tools to help that seed grow. Each workshop is completely unique but where possible I work with nature to harness its wellbeing benefits. The workshops are experiential, creative and fun and staff can get involved too - in fact, this is encouraged.

If you’d like me to run a workshop to fit in directly with something on your syllabus that’s possible too.

Please get in touch to discuss your needs and to see if we can work together. Let’s plant the seeds and watch them grow.

One to one coaching

I also offer wellbeing and resilience coaching to young people aged 11-18 outside of school hours.

Coaching provides a safe, non-judgemental space for young people to explore and work through their current situation with a focus on managing day-to-day and working towards the future. Coaching is not a substitute for counselling but can work well alongside it.

I’ll work with the young person to help them:

  • Understand their strengths and how to use them

  • Identify areas for development and find tools and techniques to support their development

  • Build their confidence, self-esteem and resilience

  • Manage stress and conflict

  • Explore how to build healthy relationships with peers

  • Explore wellbeing tools that can be used in their ongoing journeys

What you get:

  • 6 x 45 min 1:1 sessions

  • Resources to support development during and after the six sessions.
