What to expect from a wellbeing walk
The experience of walking on the beach is, in itself, a mindful activity and sensory experience that calms your nervous system and creates space for perspective, so we could just walk and you’ll feel the benefit.
But on our wellbeing walks, we do a bit more than just walk:
We’ll talk – you’ll have a non-judgmental space just for you where you’ll be listened to, heard and supported
We’ll explore what it means to be you, alongside your challenges
We’ll use the water and the beach as an anchor and metaphor to explore how we are connected to nature and how we can reconnect to ourselves.
We’ll explore different themes each week such as Awareness, Connection, Creative Relaxation and Reflection.
We’ll practise embodied walking where we take notice of our bodies and learn from them
We’ll discuss tools and strategies that your support your wellbeing and put them into practice, including mindfulness and meditation, breathwork, writing and drawing, paddling, building sand castles (or other masterpieces!)
What you’ll leave with:
A thousand thoughts and ideas (but don’t worry – I’ll help you to hold them)
Tools and strategies that you can use anywhere to support and improve your wellbeing
A greater understanding of how your challenges impact you and how you can support yourself
A deeper sense of connection (to yourself and your environment)
A sense of wonderment about what lies beneath
What you’ll need:
Water to drink
Your phone or camera in case you want to take a picture
Space afterwards to process (I recommend at least 15 mins so you’re not rushing off)
Layers
Sunscreen / hat (depending on the weather and the time we meet)
Where?
We meet at the front of the cafe at Durley Chine beach and return there after our walk.
My aim is to be fully inclusive so if you have a disability, you’re neurodivergent or you require additional support please get in touch so we can discuss the accommodations you need.
How much?
The price is £160 for four 60-minute sessions
The sessions can be weekly or fortnightly
Book a 15 minute call with me to see if this is a good fit for you. If we both agree, then I’ll send a link to book your sessions.
Important note: These sessions are not a replacement for therapy but can work alongside it or while you’re waiting for support.
More coaching & wellbeing support options
I have several options for 1:1 coaching and wellbeing support, plus a group coaching programme.
If you’re local to Bournemouth we can work together in person but if you’re further afield there are online options too.

FAQs

Hopefully it will be gloriously sunny all the time but given the British weather, it’s likely we’ll encounter a little bit of rain.
But that doesn’t have to put a damper on our session. If it’s drizzling, we’ll go ahead – being on the beach in the rain adds another element to our sensory experience – plus the beach will be quieter – bonus. If it’s raining, bring waterproof layers and a change of clothes.
If the rain is heavy or it’s particularly windy we might need to postpone but you’ll still get your session and I’ll let you know with as much notice as possible.
-
We all have lives to lead and sometimes unexpected things beyond our control come up, like illness. If you give 24 hour notice then we can rearrange your session.
-
If you can, travel light. Depending on the weather I may bring a small tent to keep our stuff hidden away but I’ll also carry a bag for our valuables and layers so you can have your arms free. How’s that for service!?

During Blue Coaching sessions I facilitate a space for you to reflect, make decisions and plan for your future by asking you questions and helping you see different perspectives. We work with what you bring to the sessions and I’ll encourage you to tap into your own wisdom. A coaching client is usually working towards a specific life or work goal.
During Wellbeing Walks, we have coaching-style conversations which means I’ll ask you questions that help you reflect but our sessions are more about the here and now, focusing on our bodymind connection. The sessions are practical and active, and include a range of activities that are centred around wellbeing.
